Mrs Gibbons

Croeso / Welcome

The children are supported by the following staff during the week. Mrs Gibbons, Miss Franco HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) and Teaching Assistants (TA) Mrs Woods and Mrs Jones.

Some useful information for this term.

Our class ‘family’ is our bubble. There will be no enforced distancing within our class bubble. This means that we can interact, build relationships, share resources and the children play and learn together.

Uniform and Equipment

All children must bring a coat and a named water bottle to school. Please ensure all uniform is labelled clearly. If your child is bringing a packed lunch from home please make sure it is in a small box / bag. School lunches are available (see menu).

We are not able to send reading books home at the moment but please try to read something at home with your child every evening. It really does make a difference. We will be reading in school as normal.

No reading folders to come into school.

The words of the week will be put onto our class page, on the website, weekly. Please try to help your child by sounding the letters/blends rather than using the letter names.

Homework will be set per half term. There will be 6 different homework tasks for you to complete over 6 weeks. You can choose which homework you do each week.

Please do not bring homework books back into school. Once your child has completed a homework task please email a picture of the work to me.

Our PE day is a Friday.

PE kits are not to be sent into school. On a Friday please send children into school in their normal school uniform and suitable footwear (trainers / pumps). If your child wears stud earrings please remove or cover the earrings with plasters on a Friday morning, before entering school. Long hair should also be tied back.

Children will have the opportunity to use the outdoor area and the outdoor classroom during the school day. Please make sure children have a suitable coat and when colder hat and gloves. Please practise putting on and taking off coats.

There will be a separate letter about this.

Please remember to send in £1 per week snack money so we can provide a varied fruit selection for the children at playtime. Please inform us of any allergies.

Please send in any medication in a clearly labelled small sandwich style box or resealable bag.
